Is He your back-up plan?

    I have a question for myself that might apply to you too.  Do I truly trust God with all I have?  This means trusting Him when everything is going wrong.  Do I trust Him when my car won't start, when it looks like rent won't get paid, when a family member gets sick, when I get sick, when I am layed off of my job, when my grades aren't what they should be, when the lights are going to go off and my bank account is sick?  Do I trust Him with everything?     Trust has many definitions: 1.) the assured resting of the mind on the integrity, veracity, justice, friendship or other sound principle of another person 2.) confidence 3.) reliance 4.) to give credit to 5.) to risk     1 Corinthians 2:5 states, " So that your trust might rest not on the wisdom of man, but on the power of God."  If I am looking at it from a world view;  No, I will not be able to pay my bills without money, or pass a class that I am...

Why Wait?

In Exodus 6:9, the bible talks about how Moses went to the Israelites. He went to give them a message from the Lord. God told Moses to tell them that He would bring them out of Egypt. He told them that He would free them from their bondage. The Lord promised that He would redeem them and make them His. The Israelites didn't want to hear it anymore. All they had seen since Moses came back was an increased workload and worse treatment from Pharaoh and his slave drivers. They were discouraged. They had,had enough. They didn't listen to Moses. They wanted to be free but they could see no change at that moment. All they could see was what the situation was right then. When God gives us a message that doesn't mean that our situation is going to abruptly change. Not that God isn't moving in our life or situation, just that it might not be clearly seen at that moment. This is the time God uses to strengthen us. We should wait on God to move us. We shouldn't...
