I Was Robbed!!
If you are robbed something is taken from you. What is it called when you give something away, willingly or not? I am guessing that the logical response to this would be dependent on what is being given. To pin point what the “Giver” is giving, I will start with Joy.
How do you give joy away? What happens if you give your joy away? First of all, Joy is given to you from the Lord. It is a feeling of peace and gladness from being one with Christ. Why would you want to give that awesome gift away? So many people let circumstances and people get them down. They become discouraged, depressed, angry and upset. But, I am here to tell you that you don’t have to feel that way. The Lord gave us joy. John 15:11 says, “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” Knowing this, why would we allow other people or troubling times to upset us? We don’t have to allow “Joy-suckers” to win. It is entirely up to us whether we let our feelings take over or if we stick with what God gifted us with and allow Him to work in us despite what we come up against,
Okay “Givers”, what else do we give away all the time that is harmful to our spirit? We give away our tenderheartedness. We allow our past experiences rule how we react to new situations. Don’t allow what you’ve been through harden your heart. The Lord gifted us with kindness. He wants us to be there for people even when it is hard. “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38. If we are not there for others in their times of need, how can we expect God to bless us when we need it? We want to be blessings to others. God loves a cheerful giver. Just make sure you are giving from your heart.
P.S.
We have a choice in how our day will progress. No matter what happens remember the peace of Christ in you. God Bless!!
