God's Power

Yet if you devote your heart to him
and stretch out your hands to him,
if you put away the sin that is in your hand
and allow no evil to dwell in your tent,
then you will lift up your face without shame;
you will stand firm and without fear.
You will surely forget your trouble,
recalling it only as waters gone by.
Life will be brighter than noonday,
and darkness will become like morning.
You will be secure, because there is hope;
you will look about you and take your rest in safety.
You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid,
and many will court your favor.
But the eyes of the wicked will fail,
and escape will elude them;
their hope will become a dying gasp.

--Job 11:13-20

Hope. One four letter word that has so much emotion and feeling. I have been doing a bible study in Psalms the last few days, and as I was reading the notes that go with the verses, something took hold of me. The note said that we should look at our problems in the light of God's power; instead of looking at God in the shadow of our problems.

God's power is unending. He created the world in six days. He parted the Red Sea. He sent his only begotten Son, to die for you and me. He has such power. He surrounds us with this power, He sustains us when we are weak, and He saves us from the world and ourselves. He is Almighty.

God's power is something that no one can come up against. I urge you to remain faithful to God. I remind you that He is all we need. God takes care of his children. He will provide all we need. He gives us joy and hope and peace. He fills us with an inward joy that is lasting, and steady. This inward joy that despite what we go through, lives on. Joy from the LORD defeats discouragement. Have a joyful heart! Let yourself rest in the peace of God.

If you are going through a storm, remember Jesus is napping on your boat. Have faith, He promised to get us to the other side. Lift your hands and praise God! Devote your heart to Him. He promises in His Word that soon you will look at all your troubles as water that has passed by. God is in control! He loves you and He is protecting you. In His time, In His time. God's timing is perfect and He has a perfect will for all of us.

God Bless all of you!
Love in Christ,
Kristine
